New Zealand vs Bangladesh

New Zealand and Bangladesh are due to meet in a three-match ODI series beginning in Napier on Monday. The series is the first ODI series for both sides since late 2019 when New Zealand won 3-0 against Sri Lanka.

New Zealand Preview

The Kiwi’s will be looking to continue their good form and come into this ODI series after some impressive T20 wins against Australia. Having won the T20I series 3-2, the Blackcaps will be confident of a good performance in the ODIs as they look to strengthen their position as the number two ranked ODI side.

The Kiwis have a very strong batting lineup led by the captain, Kane Williamson. They also have strong bowling attack consisting of Tim Southee, Trent Boult, and Lockie Ferguson.

Bangladesh Preview

Bangladesh come into the series after a washed out Test series against the West Indies. They have recently named a new ODI captain, Tamim Iqbal, who will be looking to make an impact as he takes charge of the side.

The Bangladeshis are an inexperienced side but they are full of potential. They have a lot of young players who can bring some exciting cricket to the fore. With some good performances in this series, the side can prove themselves to be a strong opponent for any team they face.

Prediction

This series should be an exciting one as both sides try to prove themselves. New Zealand come in as favourites but Bangladesh have the potential to surprise. The series could go either way, but we expect New Zealand to come out on top with a 3-0 series win.
