When a solution has a molar conductance greater than 1000 S/m, it is called an electrolytic solution (विद्युत द्रव की ऊती).

Molar conductance is affected by the molecular structure and the degree of ionization in the electrolyte solution. When a molecule or ion breaks apart into more than one ion, it is known as ionization (आयोनिकीकरण). The more ionization there is, the greater the conductance.

If a molecule or ion is highly ionized, it will cause a much higher molar conductance than a molecule or ion that is not ionized. For example, sodium chloride (NaCl) has a high degree of ionization because it ionizes completely into ions of Na+ and Cl-. The high degree of ionization causes a high molar conductance of 600 to 1000 S/m.

Importance of Molar Conductance

Molar conductance is important for a variety of reasons. It helps to explain the behavior of electrolyte solutions and can be used to identify the ions in a solution. It can also be used to measure the degree of ionization in a solution and to determine the type of reaction that is occurring.
